Basic Grade Social WorkerMater Private Network is a leading private hospital in Dublin, committed to providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Basic Grade Social Worker to join our Social Work Department.This role is a part time role, 21 hours per week covering Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. It is a fixed term contract.Purpose of the Post:As a Basic Grade Social Worker, you will play a vital role in offering emotional support and essential information to patients and their families as they navigate the social, emotional, and psychological challenges of illness. You will be actively involved in discharge planning, diligently applying for necessary supports to ensure safe and timely transitions from the hospital setting.Professional Qualifications, Registration, Essential Skills & Knowledge:Possession of a social work qualification recognized by the Social Workers Registration Board, or be a Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW).Post-qualifying experience is desirable.Previous hospital experience is preferable but not essential.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity towards the diverse needs of patients.Proven ability to work effectively as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks.Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage your own caseload efficiently. A full job description is available by request.  MATER PRIVATE NETWORK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYER
